First, we inoculate our wood pellets.
Then, wait for the mycelium to cultivate.
Drill a hole in a tree! (We chose Aspen)
Choose a pellet that has good mycelium growth.
(This variety is Chestnut Mushroom)
Make sure your hole is big enough!
Pound that pellet into the tree!
Paint over with melted bee’s wax…
The bee’s wax helps protect the mycelium from foreign bacteria.
Next season, we should be ready to harvest our Chestnut Mushrooms!
